Cervical surgery by using hip bone to replace c5-6 disc?

October 2007 I had cervical surgery, which did not go well and at the end of February 20058, I am going in for Surgery again this time the neuro-surgeon is using a hip bone to replace the c5-6 discs. Does anybody know recupercation time from this. The Dr. has stated 3 months, but then that’s what he said about getting better the last time, until I convinced him for another MRI and this is how we found out the Surgery didn’t work.

I have hip bone placed in my C 4,5 and 6 area and with the surgery and physical therapy, 3 months is about right.
I noticed a big difference in the pain and functioning of the neck, arms, hands, etc… almost immediately.
I had 2 fractured discs and a herniated one and I actually had more problems with the hip area because of the drainage tube falling out.
It’s been 7 years and I have no pain or problems associated with this area. I’m glad I had this surgery.
